I still think the key to this game were two misplayed balls by Mateo..even if he lets the ball drop ..its only a single..he played it into a double then a Wild Pitch and another Mateo miscue raised the pitch count...it was NOT a good first inning and more than 25 pitches on a cold rainy night...did Burnes in...

Holliday with an RBI single, Kjerstad with an RBI double, and Stowers with another HR. While Urias, Hayes, and Mateo are hitting for the ML squad tonight

Haven't seen all of this, but for a guy not to have his best stuff and give up 2 through 5 isn't awful.  A true ace knows how to get through 5 or 6 and limits the damage.  

It is the offense that is disappointing.
