This is the right move. Kimbrel had nothing tonight and Cano can get ground balls.

He's also pretty good at giving up hits, it should be interesting how this plays out.

Plus you eliminate the auto steal on Kimbrel and keep the DP alive.

Fair. But he was excellent yesterday.

Exactly.  Predictable he might be a bit wild today.  I think Kimbrel can be an asset.  He is 35 though. Don’t overuse him. Give other guys a shot.

I was thinking the exact thing.  Was just wondering if Hyde would go there, and he did.

Ok I said not resting Kimbrel was a big concern. When is Hyde going to learn this lesson?

I get at some point you want to see if Kimbrel can handle a back to back saves, but tonight wasn't the time. Let Kimbrel get settled in for a week first. Cano should have started this inning instead of trying to prevent extra innings or a walk off.

Kimbrel just doesnt have the consistency or youth to pitch back to back closes....I hope we can hold on...

And that will be the case in playoffs too.  Get people used to high leverage.

He's faded late the last two seasons.

They should be trying to load manage him.

Or preparing to bring in a replacement at the deadline.
