That is a dumb statement. If a pitcher is done, there is no need to make him throw his arm out. There is a difference between letting your pitchers go deep and threatening his career because he didn't go 7 innings.

Its not "at all costs". It was the 6th inning, not the 4th. We have guys in our bullpen that are easily replaceable if they get tired. Bass, Baez, etc. can be replaced by McCrory, Mickolio, Liz later in the year. Plus we can use our relievers for more than an inning.
