Zach is about to take the mound for Frederick tonight. His start was pushed back a few days as he recovered from a hip issue. Here's to a good start for Zach.

First pitch fastball low for a ball. Fastball low and in chopped weakly to first. Fastball outside. Fastball low, grounded to short. 4-3 on the putout. Fastball low and in grounded to short.

I should add that Florimon ranged well behind the bag at second for the second out of the inning and quickly unloaded to get the runner. It was a nice play.

I should correct myself. The last two put out were recorded 6-3.

Florimon just launched his bat into the stands. The staff retrieved the bat but Florimon insisted it be given back to the fan who snagged it. The crowd cheered his decision.

First pitch snker away ball. Second pitch low and away sinker fouled back. Bounced something offspeed in for a ball. Sinker low grounded to second. one out.

Slider/changeup for a strike. Fastball low swung through. Slider for a swinging K.

Fastball down for a ball. Fastball down and away fouled off. Sinker down and away for a ball. Sinker down swung through. Either a change up or slider down and away for another swinging K.

Thanks so much for the PBP, keep it up, its very much appreciated. Im glad to see hes keeping the ball on the ground and getting the K's after a slight bit more than normal rest for Britton.

Through two innings Zach looks really strong. The stadium gun has his fastball at 91-94 and it looks like his sinker is coming in 88-90. Its got really good drop too.

Pretty good start for Zach as he need just five pitches to escape the first inning and used 11 in the second inning. Velocity is a little down on his sinker from his previous start, but we'll see if it picks up some as the game wears on. He got Greene swinging on a nasty change up inside to end the second inning.

Top third. Fastball low and in for a strike. Sinler runs inside and low for a ball. Slider over for a strike. Slider, cash pitch, for a swing K.

So thats 4 K's?

The smore K's he gets IMO the more of a prospect he becomes. If you couple the K's with that mid 2 ERA, you have an elite prospect, whether he gets rated as elite by BA and other palces, thats their opinion, but if he keeps this up, then he is similar to that of Trevor Cahill who was one of the top rated pitchers in the minors coming into 09.
