and it seemed like Markakis was in no hurry at all to field it and throw it in, gave the runner 3rd base for free.

I kinda think the runner could have made it anyway, but Nick could've done more to make it interesting.

More important to hold the runner at 1B. The runner on 3B is meaningless. A bad throw could score the run and elliminate the DP situation.

Yeah I agree that pulling Koji is the right move here. Hopefully Simon can get the save. This would be a devastating game to blow.

At this point, how devastating could it be?

I mean it would be pretty sad, but we're all pretty devastated already at this point. You can only kick a dead horse so many times.
