I would switch McFarland over Garcia in the very least in the next outing. At least McFarland gives us a chance to win.

This. Garcia sucks and has cost us the last 2 starts. His first start was an anomaly. He needs to GTFO.

This. It's one thing to lose a ball in the sun. It's another entirely to be unprepared. Inexplicably, Flaherty didn't even obtain any glasses after losing a ball in the sun.

In addition to costing the team a run that we can ill afford to give up at this point, that play is going to cost McFarland an earned run which he doesn't deserve, and a hit and an "inherited run scored" against Tommy Hunter, which he doesn't deserve.

Oh, well. I suppose that in the long run, they (McFarland and Hunter) will get some lucky outs (395-foot blasts that an outfielder catches) that will perhaps even it out.
