Wait. We hit and pitch poorly in losses !!

We are hitting .090 with RISP in our 12 losses since the ASB. 7 of those losses have come by 1 run so it does make a difference... We are also hitting just .243 with RISP overall since the break.

.... and were hitting .259 overall after the break. Startling.

Ok? I'm not completely trying to blame the offense. The bullpen, especially JJ were terrible this series and blew all 3 games... But that doesn't mean our offense couldn't have been better too. They should have had at least 2 both today and Wednesday. Overall, the team is just not getting it done in close games and it really sucks watching them lose so many heart breakers.

We have multiple areas of weakness. The team is flawed. I agree.

That said, we could have won any every one of those last three games if somebody steps up at the right time. It sucks, but we're still hanging in..maybe for a wildcard. Some of the teams we're competing with are staggering a bit also. The Rays have lost 7 in a row.

Those three losses were brutal.
