If they actually sign Raul Ibanez's 42 year old corpse and try to pass it off as anything other than being cheap, I may have to consider shaking up the order of my favorite baseball teams which currently stands as:

1) Baltimore Orioles

Distant 2nd) Colorado Rockies

Also of note: he continues to mention Peguero as a legitimate candidate for the LF job. He's a former Top 100 prospect you know... ;)

Just because you don't believe with a rule doesn't mean you shouldn't use it if it exists. Any GM would use all the rules at their disposal to make the team better. This has Angelos all over it. I know he has been getting a lot of flack recently but GMs won't artificially restrict the tools at their disposal. This might as well be a billboard to any industry people telling them he is handcuffed by his owner.
