Yet Yankees only managed to win one game against them. :D

The one where the clobbered the guy with the enormous contract that they are trying to turn into Erik Bedard? HA!!! They forgot that part of the formula. Andy will explain it. It is BEFORE they are FA's that you can get something of value back when you are an awful team. It's not about fixing mistakes and holding on to highly paid assets when you are the worst team.

According to the MLBN guys the Yankees should get Chase Utley.

I hope they realize the pace of this dismantle ahead of time. Andy takes all the parts off. He likes to salvage the speedometer as well as the Block.

I'm sure Andy will slip them a spoonful of sugar.

It will be like a terminal cancer diagnosis from Marcus Welby MD. Sobering but oddly pleasant.

Then he'll potter off to look for his cell phone - one of those newfangled Motorola RAZR flip phone thingies. Time to make some deals...

I coworker and Philly fan explained the whole mess this way. The Philly's are a result of a GM that falls in love with his players.
