That's good. That still puts us at $429k in savings. We don't know if Conlon got any over slot. Hopefully Hall won't take up all that and we can still throw 200k at a couple of these high school draftees from rds 11-40.

There's  has to be a better way. Draft HS kids, tough signs because of school commits. Knowing that unless someone in the top ten(10)  doesn't sign  your not signing them. The draft should be about talent, not about signing guys that will sign for food money.

Would these college seniors get signed at all without the current system?  They certainly wouldn't get more if they were drafted in the 30th round.

Signability will always be a factor unless/until teams are allowed to have players go to school and still retain their draft rights (like the NHL).

Maybe a total spend amount for player acquisition to stop super rich teams from signing everyone.

Has the Conlon signing became official?  We're going off a tweet that he wanted to sign.  That could be a hold up with everything too.  Pretty sure we're going to have to decide what to do with him first.  Then DL Hall is going to ask for the max of whatever bonus pool money we have left over.

3 million (per Roch's blog), we may still have a shot at signing Jones, Allen, or Willow.

If Conlon signs near slot we'd be able to offer one of them 3rd round money or two of them 4th/5th round money.
