Why isn’t Cashner’s name being brought up more?  He’s had a good year and isn’t just a rental.

Right. But If you were in a playoff run who would you want pitching for you. Gausman or Casher?

Also. From the O's POV. Would you rather a top prospect or two or would you rather lower tier prospects? Not to mention that Cashner will be cheaper for them next year than will Gausman. 

There's almost no point to selling Cashner. He's serviceable. League average. And on a reasonable contract for one more year. He won't yield a high return. Gausman on the other hand, will become expensive. And he could get a good return.

This is a strange opening paragraph from Roch's blog. What deals could they possibly make if Adam doesn't wave his 10-5? He says the biggest trades have been completed so it seems like Schoop and Gausman will stay. Who else could possibly be traded? Cashner? Valencia....?

Valencia, Trumbo, etc. I'd imagine...

Seems odd to completely rule out Gaus and co., but I've definitely gotten the feeling they'll be offseason/next trade deadline moves.
