Tony gave a Colby Rasmus comp.

Lots of strikeouts but decent strike zone judgment and a good contact to damage ratio. 230/.320/.480 with good corner OF defense? I’d take it.

The number I am watching closely is Stowers' K rate.  So far we're getting a good look at how a lower K rate can be translated into more hard-hit balls in play.  Through Fri game:

• AVG .533
• AB 15
• H 8
• 2B 5
• HR 2
• BB 4
• K 1
• OBP .650
• SLG 1.267

The 7 XBH would be good for 60-70 ABs and at last year's 38% K rate/AB he'd be at 5-6 Ks, so we're getting close to significance, even with a small sample size.  He's the same age as Rutschman (24), so they should be getting him a chance in Bal this season with the number of minor league OF prospects.

Absolute upside?  Gallo is a reasonable upside but certainly not an absolute upside.

Haha pre-2021 Bellinger. Though with his K rate I feel like there certainly could be prolonged slumps like Cody had last year. Sorry, my phone won’t let me quote previous posts for some reason. 
 

And for the record: I don’t actually think he’ll be as good as Bellinger.
