We're doing the Jeff Reboulet over Brady Anderson against Randy Johnson thing, and so are they (Lowe and Choi on bench to start game).

They know Hall will be short, we hope McClanahan won't be too long.   If game close, the good lefthanded hitting players will factor into it.

Day game after a night game and a LHP starter. Seems like as good a time as any to give Chirinos a start. Back to the bench tomorrow would be my guess.

I would preferred he sat last night.

He's the superior pitch blocker.

He's the superior pitch framer.

He's worked with Hall before.

Just seems odd to me that he's not back there for Hall's debut.

He's 24 years old. He can catch a 4pm game after a 7pm game the night before. It's not going to kill him. I understand wanting to rest him, but he doesn't HAVE to DH on literally every game that starts before 7:05

My thoughts exactly.

I agree.  You would think he and Hall maybe had some rapport and the familiarity might offer Hall a certain comfort level.
