2 for 2 so far. Line drive single to RF.  A triple to CF.  Creed has snapped out of his terrible start.   What's next?  An assault towards the Mendoza line?

Willems has not had a stellar start, but the kid is 18 years old and has less than 100 professional plate appearances.  Moreover, he was an eighth round selection and his signing bonus had a slot value of a collective balance/early third round pick.  That type of pick making it to the show, even for a cup of coffee, is not great.  Hopefully he develops over the next five years.

Threw out two more runners trying to steal second tonight as well, six total.

I agree, but I'd like to see him get himself into the best shape possible.   You definitely need agility behind the plate and he's going to have to keep on eye on his weight for sure.

In theory, yes, but in practicality bad body guys don't typically age well.

Big Papi says hi.   Of course, there may have been chemicals involved.  

I definitely would like to see Willems in better shape.   But for now, I just want to see him keep hitting the way he has the last four games.   

I tell you what, just catching 3 days a week in the East Coast summer heat will probably knock 10-15 pounds off him.

I would expect teams to stop trying to run on him, except the elite speed guys.

Also made a nice play by stepping out in front of the plate to field a throw from the outfield and nail the runner going to second.  His arm was impressive.
