I think the fact it seems so close to the end and Belkast said "we will see where we stand," which I don't necessarily see as a good sign..

Well, it's not like his super-optimism a few days ago brought us any great results so I wouldn't read too much into his mood. I think people are getting too caught up in trying to read between lines.

It's gotta be those stinkin' Angels. We would beat the Nats even if they're at 200 and we're at 180 i would think.

The Angels have been exploring other options.

Well Belkast said we should get an answer today...either we sign him(or close to signing him) or drop out of it.

Sounds to me that is a "we are tired of waiting, here is our best offer, take it or leave it" type thing.

Which actually is surprising seeing as how long AM let things drag out last year..figure he would be more patient.
