Our best starting pitcher the first half until the break. 

Did not pitch for 10 days because of the break, and the decision to move him to the back . The end. 

What am I missing? We lost our best starting pitcher.

Our pitiful bullpen, full of other teams reject's, isn't quite working out. It's causing us losses that we need to win. 

We are way desperate for pitching now.

Same thought.  Seems they wanted to work him through the dead arm period in the hope he can go more innings as a starting pitcher in the future.  I would have preferred rest then a few outings as a reliever then back to the big club in relief.

It really is too bad, because he would have slot perfectly into the role that Jack Flaherty had yesterday.

Great? Dominant even?

Wells needed rest imo, they pretty much gave him very little and put him on a program to work through dead arm.

He ran out of gas. And he didn't seem to fill up the tank in the minors. Pretty simple.
