I'd like to marvel at Elias' love for Livan Soto. This the 3rd time he's acquired him this year (twice claimed on waivers and twice lost on waivers) and now he finally gets to use him at the major league level. He's got a real chance to stick here the rest of the year with Mateo going on the 60-day IL. -

Ok, that does make sense. But Adley's been mashing as a DH this year, I'd want him taking DH at bats if McCann is behind the plate. To your point though, if he's taking McCann's PAs away, I'm good with that too. Did anyone ever uncover what we're paying him? Or if we're paying him? I saw the Sox sent cash with him, I don't know if that ever gets reported. -

That comment made me think a few things: 1. He must really like Chicago 2. He must like losing 3. He has the worst agent ever 4. He has no faith in his ability to stay healthy 5. He is solely driven by money 6. He isn't very smart... what is the largest contract ever given out by the White Sox? What about the Dodgers, lol? 7. He isn't very smart #2, does openly stating before being traded that you will only pitch under your terms get you more money? It is like buying a car and then finding out that Chevy isn't going to let you drive it. This guy could have kept his mouth shut, been traded to a playoff team, and worked a contract with a team that has more money than the White Sox. -
I do think Pache is a better defender but Slater has the better bat against lefties. I think this case they are willing to give up a little range for a better stick.
