Rogers has somehow gotten thru 5 inning on 72 pitches.  I hate to pull pitchers early, but he'll probably give up 2 or 3 runs in the 6th, putting the game out of reach.

I texted some friends and my brothers before the game, if Rogers goes 5 innings 4 runs, that’s probably considered a near perfect start for him.

Near the bottom quartile in every pitching metric yet Elias and SigBot traded for him when they already had Irvin and could have looked to obtain a solid reliever instead.

Let’s face it…….the offense cannot always be asked to overcome crappy pitching.   Slooooow pitches.  Slow movement to the plate.    I have seen better in JUCO ball.   Who picked this guy?

It’s very telling what stuff means. Irvin has allowed nearly the same number of baserunners but only 2 runs. Strikeout stuff matters.

we seem to get runners soon mostly with 2 outs...

Gunnar was starting to hit the ball hard again and ever since the Cleveland series, that’s gone again. Not sure what’s going on with him.

I wish I felt like Gunnar could do damage at the plate. He has one HR in almost a month.
