A-Rod has picked three teams

Basically, he is due 27 mil each year for next three, but Yanks are only paying 20 mil. They will have to ADD X - 20 mil to the payroll to keep him rather than adding X-27 mil. That is a huge deal IMO, but the Yanks will still do it.

Well, Cashman said earlier this year that they wouldn't, but I wonder if he'll soon be out of work too.

Steinbrenner said over the summer that Cashman was on a "big hook" along with Torre.

Axing Cashman also allows the Yankees to save face by giving A-Rod whatever if wants...if he has any intention of remaining in pinstripes.
