Did the Duke-UVA game start yet Yardbirds?

Very Funny.

I actually turned off the second half to watch The Wire, plus I knew what was coming.

Basically, to win against a quailty opponent, Singletary has to be his normal self (he had a bad game tonight), and 2 of the slew of other guys on the team have to step up and have big games. Whether it be Diane, Joseph, Baker, Jones, Scott etc. two guys have to perform very well to go along with SS for us to be quality opponents.

Anyways, obviously I knew this was the toughest two game stretch of their schedule, with back to back road games at Xavier and Duke. I didn't expect to win either, but keeping it close in one of them would have been nice too. I think we are certainly going to be a bubble team and probably get in the tournament, losing that game to Syracuse at home by 2 when Singletary was on his death bed may come back to really haunt us.

As I've said about them most every time I've watched them, Duke is very impressive. I think they could run into trouble if the 3's aren't falling, but they have so many different guys who can stroke them it's hard to see a night where everyoen is cold.

Lol, the ACC is extremely top-heavy this year. I wouldn't be shocked if the conference received very few NCAA tourney bids.

They'll get 6 just because of who they are.

UNC

Duke

Clemson

FSU

Miami

State

Who knows though, FSU and Miami could both collapse completely any day.

They only have 2 locks IMO...Duke and UNC.

Clemson is Clemson and could always collapse....NC St has been up and down and only has 1 good win(Nova) while also having losses to New Orleans and East Carolina, while also being embarrased by UNC.

The Clemson/State game this week is huge.

Miami and FSU need to do more as well.

I don't see the ACC getting more than 5 this year I don't think...Too young and Duke and UNC are liable to beat up everyone this year.

I may just be a biased fool but I still think UVa is going to get in. That win at Arizona is going to be our saving grace, as I think we will win 9 games in the conference, maybe 10.

If we get to 9-10 ACC wins, we will be right there on the bubble.

As of right now, we are right in the same boat as NC State, Florida State and BC in terms of being on the bubble.

Geesh another tough road game for the Heels last night. I hope they aren't all this close, I can't take the stress!

Seriously though, that game shows why the ACC is the greatest. A winless conference team takes the #1 team in the country to the buzzer. A very entertaining game.

The Heels definitely need to shore up the interior defense, I was very disappointed that they gave up so much inside. Teams with enough big bodies that are willing to bang definitely make things interesting. The Clemson game and this one prove that.

If they don't get better on D, they will be in trouble in March. But I'm confident they will get better, Roy will have them practicing w/ no rims all winter!

On a side note, how bad is Jimmy Dykes as an analyst? He was terrible last night. At one point he was talking about how Hansborough was playing extra minutes because of the depth problems due to Frasor's injury. WHAT? Yeah, those valuable backup PG minutes really are affecting our center's PT, Jimmy  And that whole Chemistry thing? How many times did he say we needed that extra 10% like Joakim Noah had, so we can thump our chests and know we mean it? What an idiot. Jay Bilas is so much better, its not even funny. Even though he is a Dukie, I've grown to appreciate Bilas' commentary over the last couple of years, and I am glad he has had the chance to get out of the studio to sit in for Dukie V a little more. But Dykes has to go!

UVA is in huge trouble after that loss to VA Tech last night. Big game by your boy though, w/ 34 & 10, I think it was? Impressive, but not enough help, I guess (didn't see the game). 9-10 wins is going to be tough, some of these teams may be better than advertised (see: GA Tech v UNC)

Well, FSU had a shot last night to come up with a big win v. Duke (AGAIN ;) ), but they couldn't pull it out. Some good athletes on that FSU team, but they need some length inside!
