Ladies and Gentlemen, these aren't your Father's AL East Powerhouses!

The division is wide open for the taking. We better bury the Yankees while their stars are out though.

Over at BRONX BRASS TACKS, Yank fans have not made one single post since Saturday, and their season opener against the Red Sox is 3 hours away.

Granted, their are only about 20 regulars poster over their, but still .........

To say that my Pinstriped friends over there are annoyed with the Yankee front office would be a huge understatement.

I remember the SOSH went from very active to a ghost town over the course of 2012. One thing I've always been proud about being an Orioles fan is how active the internet portion of the fanbase was during the gloom years

I have never, ever seen such an emptying of an opening day stadium by the 8th inning. I mean there are maybe 3 fans left in the entire stadium.

Yeah... I saw the final out on MLBN and it looked like the stadium was closed or something. I don't think I've ever seen less fans at a ballpark... and seeing plenty of Rays Orioles games from the mid 00's, that's saying something.

Obviously in starting this thread, I knew it would get ugly in NY. But man... it could get VERY ugly very fast.

With 2 outs and runners on first and second, Robinson Cano was caught napping, as Jonny Gomes never stopped running, and scored all the way from second base on a ground ball to the right side of the infield.

Cano bobbled the ball, then assumed that Gomes wouldn't try to score, and just stood there for a split second, which was just enough time for Gomes to sneak in safely behind Cervelli's tag.

Ha ha, Cano.
