I'm guessing he removed it because the Orioles now have little chance of landing Santana OR they could be close to a deal, but don't want any hints of it happening due to the pending physical.

Note the huge difference between AL and NL pitchers in ERA+. I'm not sold that any of these five would improve the orioles staff substantially.
