Orioles in trade talks for Andre Ethier

I'd rather be "stuck with" Ubaldo than Ethier. Ubaldo offers a lot to make the risk worthwhile. If he turns it around for two of the remaining three years, his contract will be a bargain. I don't think Ethier offers that much promise.

Just looked at Ethier's splits. He is worse then Rasmus against LHP and his power really tanks.

2012: .606 OPS

2013: .613

2014: .567

Career: .641

I posted previously he would be a 400 PA a year player for the Orioles, and I guess in a platoon role, that is about right.

So happy we signed Delmon Young cheap

de Aza is probably the better player then Ethier at this point.

I find it hard to believe they'd go after Ethier after not doing what it took to keep Markakis.

I am very sorry to all the Markakis fans. What it took to keep him was another bad contract.
