Seems like a lot of money for a utility guy especially if he is only backing up JJ and Schoop. I have to think he would be a lock for utility and might have a shot at starting 2B. Maybe De Aza is getting traded.

I would think a third team would really have to be involved for hamels. We deal one of our starters and they kick prospect(s) that help fill out the phillies return.

Seems like this is a move to have some speed and switch-hitting at the ut bench spot. Cabrera is a decent glove, too. I like flash as a utility player, but this could work well, IMO. As others have mentioned, Cabrera could possibly be flipped as well if a ss goes down.
