Just repeated AA and had a 5 ERA and 1.4 WHIP last year. Is there something there where he can be turned around?

Velocity is great and stuff is good. He's just wildly inconsistent.

Looks like a stronger field than last year, where there wasn't much past Logan Verrett (though the Orioles still found Jason Garcia).

I see us taking two players again. Probably both pitchers. Why not? After looking at a good portion of the players they seem to profile as the low K AAA pitchers on the A ball guys with big arms and no control. Sounds like Verret and Garcia to me. Wish we would have grabbed Deshields last year. It's funny that Garcia was the next player taken.

Maybe I'm a bit cynical, but when your manager is emphasizing our participation in the Rule 5 draft, it's not very inspiring.

Well unlike the Rule IV draft we actually develop these guys into big leaguers. haha.
