Will Mike Elias force Chris Davis to mainly be the DH?

Interesting convo about Chris Davis this morning between Eduardo Perez and Steve Phillips. Three main points:

1. The only place on Davis's heat map that is red is outside the strike zone. He needs to back off the plate so he can handle balls over the plate. It will also give him more time to see the ball.
2. His range in the field has decreased. With both his hitting and fielding going south, he may be having vision problems.
3. His meds may need to be adjusted.

1. So does that mean he is only hitting balls that are away and off the plate well?  So like Harold Baines-esque stance?

Yes, the everything in the strike zone is solid blue. Dead cold.
