The thing I like best, he sounds like early in his career, he didn't follow stats/analytics, didn't care. He was just so good that he ROLLED.

Now it seems like he has realized he has to work at it now to be good. And he has dove into (diven into it??? ) stats and all that stuff. Studied his strengths and weaknesses (now) and is pitching to them. Turned himself into a pitcher, instead of someone who is just so freaking good that he mows down lineups.

60% of the outs that Harvey recorded (9 out of 15) came via the Groundout and the Strikeout.

Harvey generally danced in an out of troublea few times tonight ...... perhaps the 3rd and final run that he ceded could have been avoided by a better play by the shortstop, when there were 2 outs and a runner on 2nd base.

Harvey has been decent so far but the end of the 5th has been a challenge for him.   I’m hoping he’ll hold his command a little better as the season progresses.   Glad he got the W.

Harvey's control has been very good so far, he's given up a total of three walks in 19.1 innings pitched.

Another gritty effort. He’s gotta get over that 5th inning hump. 7ER in 3.1 IP after the 4th Inning so far this season.

Nice effort. The infield defense probably made him get an extra 2 or 3 outs.

It would be nice if he got over it but he doesn’t have to.  If he can give us 5 IP of 3 ER or less baseball when he goes out there, that will be fine.  It would certainly be nice if he can get a few more outs but right now, sign me up for 150 IP and of 4.5ish ERA baseball.

I think he'll get better as the season goes along and can build up some more stamina.  He wasn't great in the 5th last night but he was better than he's been.
