Because I like to look up this sort of thing, I looked this thing up. Here's all of last year's streaks of 3+ six inning starts: 

• April 18: Kremer, Bradish, Wells, Gibson | 4
• May 10: Kremer, Bradish, Wells | 3
• May 27: Kremer, Bradish, Wells | 3
• June 11: Gibson, Kremer, Bradish, Wells | 4
• July 3: Wells, Gibson, Kremer, Bradish, Irvin, Wells, Gibson, Kremer | 8
• July 24: Kremer, Gibson, Bradish, Rodriguez | 4
• August 20: Bradish, Rodriguez, Kremer, Gibson, Irvin, Bradish | 6
• September 23: Means, Gibson, Bradish | 3

They're certainly off to a better start. Last year they only managed 6 innings once in the first 8 games, and three times in the first 16 games before starting the first streak above.

I think they led MLB in quality starts from June first on.

Thx for the research.  Illustrates how the SP turned it up in July/Aug when team surged to first place.

They said on the MASN pregame it was the first time since 2012 the O's got three straight 6 inning starts to start the year.

Checked it out, that was Jake Arrieta 7 scoreless, Tommy Hunter 7 IP and 2 unearned runs, and Jason Hammel 8 IP 1 run as they swept the Twins to start that surprising season.
