8/13 - Nationals vs Orioles

The last year and a half, the Orioles were a team to be proud of, now they play sloppy in every possible facet of the game they bring up guys who they know will be defensive liabilities, and who are, and they trade for control rather than for quality.

Everybody says best record in baseball, blah, blah blah blah blah blah and that’s not insignificant but the fact is the trend is down and it would not surprise me at all if we end up with 87 wins and the second wildcard spot or even the third

This lineup strikes the fear into no one anymore

I understand why the pitching totally collapsed but not the offense and defense.

Westburg and Kjerstad getting hurt has something to do with it.  Westburg is a better defender at third than Urias is too, while Mateo is probably a bit better defender at second than either Westburg or Holliday.  But yeah basically Gunnar and Adley need to get on a hot streak.

Mateo is amazing at 2B. Losing Mateo and Westy crippled this defense.
