3rd catcher/pinch hitter when you have a 26 man roster? I mean there's a chance. Especially for a 3 game series. -
Basallo is not ready. And yes it is homerism to say we have 3 of the top 5 prospects in baseball. Show me one objective source that ranks three of our guys in the top 5. -
I don’t see how Basallo’s bat today is ahead of the other 2….they are both putting up better numbers at AAA. -
They have treated certain prospects as everyday guys upon promotion. Adley, Gunnar, Holliday (before his demotion). I think Mayo falls into that category. That caliber of prospect. -

I’ll stick to that I’ll take Povich over Fedde for the rest of this current season. Fedde hasn’t had 5 starts all season as tough as Povich‘s first 5 starts of his career. Povich is good. Hate to break it to people. -

I am actually higher on Povich than you and some others. I don't think he has special 'stuff'. But I do think that him being a lefthander....a very very tall lefthander with a someone sweeping and unorthodox delivery.....creates problems for hitters that a shorter right hander with a standard delivery does not present. -

This post is the answer to your own question. IMO you are just misreading it. Per this list, only 20% of the top 100 prospects in all of Baseball are pitchers. Pitchers have many more question marks attached to them. If you want to maximize your player development chances, you draft bats.
