Pearce really isn't a step down defensively.

I don't think Davis -> Pearce is that big of a deal either. However the CD suspension directly relates to whackadoodle (and largely unsuccessful) defensive infield (mostly left side) we've been putting out there.

I don't see the point. Soonest he could play would be the 4th game. WS roster I expect. If we get that far of course.

I'm not even that concerned about it right now.

I really believe with Pearce at 1st base and Flaherty at 3rd base, we will be fine, just like we have been up until the last few games.

When Davis went down, we kept right on going with our pitching and our defense, and those are always the most important aspects of a baseball team.

I wouldn't mind if Showalter didn't put Davis on the postseason roster until the World Series, assuming that we get that far.

I doubt it. We'd have to play a man down for 5 games I think before he can come back. I don't see Buck doing that.
