Cruise? Or just airplane? Flu probably get you first.

A flu outbreak sickened 82 people aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship that returned to Baltimore last week, prompting the cruise line to isolate them and notify the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but none of the sick passengers and crew met the criteria for the coronavirus, a Royal Carribean spokeswoman confirmed FridayFlu

Taking airline.   Just looked at the Hotel reservation and free cancellation ended 4 days.  Airline tickets aren't refundable either.

I don't think I am safer at home than on vacation.  I am just worried about perhaps being stuck somewhere.  School is out so I have to take vacation anyway.

Well see how the next couple of weeks go.

Start testing and a big jump. Not having reliable testing is inexcusable. Just fixed the problems this week.Wonder how many people in the US have the coronavirus and gotten sick and who died and were reported as the flu  in Washington state the scientists think it was out there for six weeks or so.

The National College Players Association, a nonprofit advocating for the rights and safety of collegiate athletes, is calling on the NCAA to consider holding NCAA tournament games without fans due to its concern over coronavirus.

"In the wake of the emerging coronavirus pandemic, the NCAA and its colleges should take precautions to protect college athletes," the group wrote in a public statement Saturday. "In regard to the NCAA's March Madness tournament and other athletic events, there should be a serious discussion about holding competitions without an audience present. ...The NCAA and its colleges must act now, there is no time to waste."

Women who’s husband is in the Washington nursing home said her husband who has a broken hip and Parkinson’s has a cough on Saturday but they haven’t tested him yet as he doesn’t meet the criteria.  It seems they still don’t have enough test kits which is inexcusable at this point.

Very good video from NYC Emergency Room Doctor.  Talks about lack of testing and rate of mortality. Says probably 1000s in NYC right now and schools will be closed and sporting events will be cancelled. But also says death rate isn't as high as we think

Says other countries are testing 10,000 people a day and he has to plead with CDC to allow someone to be tested.

CDC now not reporting on how many people are being tested. They took that out of the reporting method.

See from March 1st to March 2nd ,now no report on how many tested. Maybe because states are doing more .

Virginia started their own testing.  They say they can do 10,000 a day.   Instead of waiting a week for the results to come back from the CDC they can have the result in 2 hours.

If you have money to invest, invest in Amazon.  Now that they deliver groceries, they will be doing a lot more of that cause everyone is afraid to go into any public place.

They are saying same day delivery slots are filling up and you aren't going to be able to get it for a couple days soon and that is before people have started getting sick.  Their drivers will get sick and more people will be home ordering. It is not like they can just add more drivers during a pandemic.

Yes,and the person picking your items might have the corona virus and then perhaps spreads germs on your food, especially fruits and vegetables which would be more susceptible. The driver coming in your house could also have the corona virus. I guess perhaps feel better not going into the general public but if you are going to get it in the supermarket that probably means the worker picking your food items would also get it.
