Why not watch it on the computer through steaming.

No cable. Blacked out. In NC and it's MASN territory. No computer. Everything is phone, iPad, smart tv.

I can tap into Xfinity via my mother's account for some standard TV viewing.  I see MASN in the guide! But can only stream if actually on the physical wifi of the account holder. And she's 4 hours away. Womp womp.

Look up stream east and it doesn’t have blackout or vpn access.  I am in North Carolina too and have used it for few years with no problem either on smart tv or iPad.

MLB app for Tampa’s upcoming schedule lists tomorrow’s starter as DL Hall. Seems pretty solid at this point.

….and my family and I will be right behind the Oriole dugout screaming our lungs out. Picked a great weekend to take our annual vacation to Siesta Key.

Hall is starting today, but no one is expected to leave the rotation to create space for him. I’m hearing that he’s likely to make a spot start against the Rays and then serve in a multi-inning relief role through the remainder of the season.

This makes the most sense.  Starters have been good and Wells will be back.  Need help keeping the bullpen fresh.  If he could be a lefty throwing 100 coming out of the bullpen, that could be helpful

I’m sorry. I didn’t read any of this. I am just so mad. If Elias doesn’t quit killing this team and bring up Cowser, or Henderson, or Hall, Westburg or Stowers…I’m outta here.  This team was poised to be special and what has Elias done???  Traded away Mancini…and Lopez crushing our hopes and dugout  camaraderie. I just can’t believe Elias would doom the team and try to crush our spirit. Since the trading deadline, I have been unable to watch baseball and have been locked in my room throwing things and screaming obscenities at that jerk, Mike Elias. He isn’t even trying to win. All he cares about is his precious farm system. I just hate him.

Sorry; I had to get that off my chest. So what’s going on here?  What?  We’re in third place?  We currently hold a WC spot?  Hall is pitching tonight?  Am I dreaming?

Mike Elias….I love…

IF you don’t do something about Odor I swear!!!!

But Hall "isn't dominating" and hasn't "earned a promotion".

I am fine with the move just not the narrative that some posters are pushing.

I’d love to understand how the Orioles decide when to promote guys.   This timing seems quite odd, and there have been other moves in the minors that seemed really oddly timed as well.

But far be it from me to question it.   I can’t fault the overall results of whatever the heck they’re doing.   And, bad or good, I’m just jazzed to watch Hall pitch in a major league game and see firsthand what the fuss about his stuff is all about.

Hall being a pitcher makes it easier for Elias to preserve his rookie eligibility for next season, that's why he's up first. Elias is 100% trying to take multiple shots at multiple supplemental 2024 draft picks with Hall, GrayRod, Gunnar, Westburg all ROY eligible in 2023. Perhaps Stowers as well if he starts cracking the various Top 100 lists next spring.

Why is it odd?  Elias has said all year that he wants to get Hall up here.  Hall only has 20-25 innings left in him this year.

The only odd thing is that he isn’t already up here.

People just get too obsessed over a few good or bad outings.

    • Get this through your head once and for all.  Stop.  Just stop.  You are embarrassing yourself.  No JH is not squatting 800 pounds, nor is he deadlifting 800 pounds...which is actually easier.  And not even close. NOT EVEN CLOSE.   For you to believe he does this tells me a lot about what you are willing to believe....which seems to be anything as long as it fits your narrative.   The best of the best power lifters in the world....as in the people that devote their lives to power lifting, have trouble squatting even 550 pounds and deadlifting over 600 pounds.  And again, I am talking people that devote their every waking moment to power lifting.   Do you honestly think a 185 pound baseball player is squatting and deadlifting more than guys that do it professionally?  Do you honestly believe that the Orioles management is going to let him even try that kind of weight?  That is called SNAP city.  And trust me none of that weight would even budge if he tried.   Here is a video where he says his max bench is 300.  And he says he THINKS he can do that and in addition he has the use of pads and the slingshot...which makes it way easier.  Just for reference, I have max benched 425 and I am 51 years old and only weigh 210. He also says his max squat is 445 or so.  That is nothing.  I can tell you 10000000000000000s of guys, including me, who have squatted more.  Much more.  So just stop with the hyperbole.  He is not some super strong kid.  He lifts about what every kid who lifts his size does.   Forgetting the fact that he gets the top of the top training that most kids don't. Here is what squatting 800 pounds really looks like...ok?  This is maybe the most powerful powerlifter of all time.   Just stop.  Stop.  I don't want to embarrass you more.
    • Bowlers are elite athletes. They walk 2 feet and throw a ball then go sit down until it's their turn again. They know what an elite athlete looks like.
    • Please stop talking about you.  No one gives a f*** about anything to do with your life, your bowling ball, your wife or anything else you try to pat yourself on the back about.  Your life is meaningless to the rest of us.  Get that through your head. And yes, fields can be an issue and he is a good fielder.  You don’t know what you are talking about.  Again, get that through your head. He has had scouts, people around the game, etc…laud him for his defense and talk about how well he moves. He is learning and likely making dumb mistakes, like all players do.    Errors mean very little without context and that is a well accepted opinion around the game.    Have your doubts all you want..much less everything else you say on here, your take will look dumb soon enough.
    • Thank you for taking the time to make this post. It  is well thought out and well researched.  You make some compelling arguments.
