Will all depend on how well Chris Sale does. How many teams on paper right now are ahead of us in the American League?

It's basically guaranteed to happen.  I really cannot imagine any viable excuse for not at least matching this one year deal with no draft pick compensation attached.  Can't they just admit they are cheap?

They spent 18 million on Frazier and Gibson.  It's like passing up on a steak at Capital Grille because you'd rather get a couple value meals at McDonalds.

Agreed.  

I'm guessing we wind up with Wacha.    Not a fan of that.

It’s pretty obvious to me that the Red Sox were the unnamed AL East team that was in on Eovaldi, because after he signed in Texas they quickly moved onto Kluber. 
 

I guess now it’s Wacha or just roll with what we have, and see if anyone takes a milb deal and ST invite with us. It’s a shame we weren’t in on Kluber, that’s a pretty good deal for him and around the same money we gave Gibson.

Chris Archer, Michael Pineda, and Zach Davies are far more realistic names.

Im surprised he signed for only 10 mil. I thought Kluber would command around 15 mil for one year. Maybe the O's offered more than 10 mil but the Kluber took less to go to the Red Sox?

Fun fact. Kluber hasn't pitcher more than 8 innings since May of 2021, which means it's probably an absolute lock to happen.
