I want the offense and the pitching to show up during the same game on Tuesday.  16 K's in Game 1 was brilliant.  8 runs in Game 2 should be enough but it sure won't be if you're going to give  up 11 walks in the process.

My vote is for Kremer to start, because I'm an optimist and I believe the O's will need Gibson's veteranocity for game 4.

yeah I'm not getting the Westburg shade, maybe just post game frustration... admittedly I didn't see his ABs today, did he look poor in the field? Stil, 60% of his PAs this series have ended in hard hit balls in the air which we've been clamoring for.

You don’t have a glove in CF that helps you. He has to play. You have a righty going in the next game, hopefully that helps although Mullins only has a 633 OPS lifetime vs Eovaldi..in 30 at bats.

MLB playoffs are about who is hot.  If we lucked into a Mateo heater then he needs to play no matter the righty/lefty matchup.  Urias has been scuffling anyway.  By the same token Hicks has to play and they should consider sitting Mullins.  It was good to see O’Hearn have a good swing, maybe that carries over.

We are probably rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic but you lose the ability to worry about a downgrade in defense when you $%#* the bed offensively in the first 2 games.  You don’t completely disregard it but it can no longer be the priority

In 17 games at Globe Life Field, the slash line against Gibson is 247/305/414 and an OPS+ of 91.

In 101 IP, his ERA is 3.28. 1.2 WHIP. 7.8 K rate and 2.5 BB rate.  He does have a HR rate of 1.4.

So, he has that going for him but the current Rangers team has an 850 OPS vs him. Now, most players  dont have many at bats vs him. Grossman has 27 and he only has a 450 OPS.  Semien has 26 and his OPS is 872.

The Rangers have an OPs of 805 vs Kremer. He only has 4.2 IP at Globe and his ERA is 1.93.

I would not complain either way but I probably would go with Gibson.

The offense scored 8 runs in Game 2.  That should have been around 3 more than necessary.  Gunnar, Mateo, Hicks and them didn't walk 11 batters.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is still feeling the effects of his injuries. Even though Eovaldi is pitching, I agree that someone else needs to play CF on Tuesday instead of Mullins.

The reality is that we don’t have a good option. We just have to pick the best of the mediocre options we have and I think Gibson is the guy to pick based on his experience.
