We should chant at the Red Sox every chance we get "Your not our rivals, your not our rivals"  The douche Red Sox fans used to do that to Baltimore back in the 07-11 era.  It was back when their announcers used to call Camden Yards "Fenway South" and Manny Rameriez  hit his 500th home run just barely over the left field wall in Camden and he said "I am so happy to do it here where the fans could celebrate with him"

I have long since hated Boston way more than NY......at least for 15 years.  Can't even remember how happy I was when Boston beat NY in 04.

I would love for Elias to say something Steve Spurrier like.  Red Sox aren't our rivals, we always beat them.  Maybe in 2 or 3 years.  I know Elias is too classy to ever say anything like that even if we swept them 5 years straight.

I heard Yankees announcers during broadcast today was day 4 of 17 games in 17 days, with the OPACY series being 11-14 in that run.

We'll see if Oakland and Milwaukee can get into their bullpen any this week.    Absent any off days, it looks like Stroman is the SP who will miss the first series.    The finale next Thursday is day baseball.

Yankees have made it to day 14 of 17 in a row with their bullpen in decent enough order - they were my vote and still seem the clear leader after a month of play.

Very interested to see Carlos Rodon against Orioles Bats this afternoon - that matchup is going to be around for more than just this year's divisional race.

First month of results - Red Sox run differential is similar to BAL/NYY near league best, and huge gap to the Rays and Jays.

Red Sox pitching coach Andrew Bailey's very few fastballs strategy has been very effective against the league for a month - can it keep up?

Adding Astros to Rays and Jays, it feels like one of those Clubs is perhaps going to fall short of returning to AL6 contention with the Guardians and Royals both looking in fair shape to push 88 wins.

I regret picking the Jays. They aren’t doing squat with Schneider and Atkins running things.

Would be hilarious if it ends up being the Red Sox.

I picked the Jays too. I wouldn't be shocked to see a rebound but they sure seem to be on the road to underachievement yet again.

According to the MLB standings, The Red Sox are only 6-12 against teams that are better than .500.

Shockingly (I know this is about the AL East), but the maybe the AL East isn't presently the beast it usually is. The Central which has been lousy for a while appears to be much stronger. All but one team are over .500. Big change.

With Guerrero unable to get himself right and whatever the hell is going on with Manoah it was easy to see a path where they'd implode.

I did kind of expect the Rays to put up more of a fight.  They still looked like a team up until the bitter end last year.  But between their all star shortstop being stuck in the minors, and their pitchers' UCLs all exploding I guess it's a lot to lose.

The AL East is 88-73 (.547) against the other divisions.  The Central is 47-43 (.522).   Take out the White Sox and they’re 43-35 (.551).   So the Central has been about equal to the East if you remove that ridiculously horrible team in their division from the equation.  Head to head vs. the East, the Centrsl is 19-15, with the White Sox 3-0, having swept Tampa in the only series they’ve played against the East.

Oakland started off 10-45 last year (!). Wonder if the White Sox can match that.

It’s still a beast.  It’s just perspectives have changed since we are one of the “beast” teams.
