They have other guys that can be that. Norby, Vavra, or Urias and if bring up Mayo and play him at 3rd

They made the decision.  Mayo and Holliday start in the minors.  You don’t have to like it but once you accept reality do you really care if the 26th man is McKenna, Nevin, Kemp, or whoever they want in that spot?

I wanted Holliday on the team.  He’s not.  Get over it.  Kemp is going to have a pretty minor role.

I was simply pointing out that you knew why exactly people were complaining (or "whining" as you put it) about this move but were pretending to be oblivious in some lame attempt to dunk on them. That's all.

We don't know that.

It's wild how many Orioles (!!) fans have completely convinced themselves Rubenstein is gonna blow the vault open. If anyone should be skeptical of that, it's Orioles fans.

You are absolutely correct in that we don’t know anything yet. And right now we can only hope.

What we can hope for/speculate about is the motives/goals of John Angelos vs David Rubenstein.

JA knew his father was dying for some time and he knew he didn’t have the money to afford the estate sale tax at the event of PA’s death. That we can know. We can suspect that being in that position, he never saw the Orioles as a long term thing, as he would only be in control of the team until his father’s death.

It is also fair to suspect that because he did not have the personal wealth commiserate with an owner of a major sports franchise in America (in essence everything he had came from dad), one of his top priorities was to take advantage of the time that he had to make the most money he could before the sale of the team. This also probably effected his ability to make meaningful payroll investments into the club.

We can also guesstimate that as a multi-billionaire venture capitalists, philanthropist, in his 70’s that David Rubenstein will not be dependent on the Orioles to fund his lifestyle or to make a “few more” millions. He already has all the money that he and several generations after him will ever need or could ever spend.

We hope that given Rubenstein’s profile, he will be more interested in running the Orioles in a way that represents the onfield product being valued as opposed to solely profit being valued (under JA).

You call that dunking?   The 26th man was going to be Wong.  Then Nevin.  Now Kemp.  It wasn’t going to be Norby and Holliday and Mayo weren’t making the team.   I could understand complaining about Holliday not making the team but there should be a 3 day moratorium on whining.

First, folks whined about Tyler Nevin offering nothing to this team.  Now they’re whining about Tyler Nevin’s replacement.   LOL

Yes, Tyler Nevin and his replacement are not ML caliber players. We have plenty of those in Norfolk but Elias loves manipulating service time while pretending he’s not. It’s pathetic and should be “whined” about.

You whine about Sports Guy or Corn dunking on you weeks after the fact.
