They did not look like they gave a shit tonight. Rarely would I ever say that about this team, but that was an unacceptable effort today.

The offensive approach looked disengaged. Maybe guys were just cold and wet and lacked focused because of the elements?

But Irvin is terrible. It could have been a lot worse and I suspect that the yard combined with the weather was a major factor in the Royals not tattooing him tonight. They hit some really hard balls that were caught.

Tough night to pitch. Threw 68% of his pitches for strikes but only missed 8 bats. One hitter has his number tonight and OHearn made a terrible effort on the triple.

Hopefully O'Hearn's outfield innings are very limited. I'm fine with him being on the team for now but it seems like poor resource management to have him out in RF in a starting lineup.

I really don't get the Orioles' love for trying to turn first basemen into outfielders. If they had a shot at being outfielders, they'd have been outfielders in high school/college instead of first basemen. Trumbo, Mancini, now O'Hearn. It's getting ridiculous.
