I mean the game is basically over, but there's another awful call by the umpire.  I know, won't make a difference, just pointing it out.

Last year, IIRC, it was Mullins or Mountcastle that would consistently fill that role.  When they’d invariably end up on the IL, it exposed a very similar inability to get hits with RISP.

This season it feels like that should be Cowser and Westburg, but the rest of the guys have to get on base.  Just can’t count on anyone right now.

True, true. And on that note, I suspect there's a possibility that the "injuries" to Means and Bradish could just be a way of holding them out to save bullets for the playoffs.

By the way, I have to also feel good for Joey Ortiz. Always nice to play against the team that traded you away. I still like the trade, but have to be happy for Ortiz who looks fantastic in the field and solid at the plate.

I've been making an effort to be a bit more subdued this season.
