METS August 21…going for a series win with mighty Cole Irvin

Very curious if Hyde sticks with Irvin a 3rd time through the order. Couldn't ask for much more from Irvin going 4 IP and only allowing 1 run and only 4 hits/2 walks. That said, this bullpen has been utterly taxed by Hyde lately and sending Tate down really isn't helping the pen get rest since no other BP arms were called up.

It's very clear that the scouting report on Manaea by the O's was to swing early and often as hitters have a 736 OPS on the first pitch (and a 259 BA). But the O's look all kinds of awful.

Think it's more a question of whether you want him pitching into the 5th since the lineup is about to turn over. My thought is if he does pitch through the 5 economically, leave him in.
