If Matt Chico can avoid losing his final start of the season, the Nationals will become the first team in history to not have a 10-game winner nor a 10-game loser in a non-strike shortened season.
The Nats have used 26 different pitchers, including 13 starters, this season, but none have more wins than Jon Rauch's eight or losses than Chico's nine.

This just blows my mind, especially considering Rauch is in the bullpen and has more wins than any starter.

  Catch probability is a little unfair here. That ball really hit off the very end of the bat. That always is more difficult play for an outfielder.

  Small sample theater - PitchingBot's ERA estimator pegged his ~85 pitches yesterday for a 2.82 ERA, about 90th percentile filtering for the "as SP" positional split. 2023 it had him about 80th percentile.
