Not sure how valid this is, but someone just posted on Twitter that he had a heart attack on a Caribbean cruise.

R.I.P. Earl of Baltimore. My wife and I will be attending FanFest today with heavy hearts.

He was on an Orioles Fantasy Cruise and had a heart attack earlier today and dies in his cabin.

He will live forever.

In case you somehow don't know what this is, NSFW.

Thank you for this - and thank you, Earl. His example of living out loud, being yourself even at the risk of pissing people off, was just terrific. Love ya, Earl! Help us win a few ball games this year from that big dugout in the sky...

I heard on the radio while driving to Fanfest. Tears were rolling down my cheeks for about 20 minutes as the memories flowed in. He WAS the personification of Orioles baseball excellence. Thank God he lived to see his statue go up, visit with his players, and see his team have a magical run and make the playoffs.

As I walked out of the OPACY parking lot just now, I saw the words taken from the wall of Memorial Stadium:

"Time Will Not Dim the Glory of Their Deeds".

Truer words were never spoken. RIP, Earl.
