I didn't have an issue with the Dickey trade from the Mets' perspective. They were unlikely to contend in the next few years and got quality back.

Oh, that's fine. But the OP was suggesting (I presume) that the Mets knew Dickey would implode so they traded him just in time, and his first two starts are proof of this.

I was unaware knuckleballers didn't work in retractable roof stadiums, or domes. A quick look at Phil Niekro's career splits in domes didn't seem to indicate that at all - he had almost exactly the same ERA inside and out.

OK, when you said "not very" I thought you were disproving of the trade.

Blue Jays as a squad have disaster written all over them, Dickey likely will just be leading that charge being in a dome, and in a division with another Dome team, and a Yankee stadium that all those fly balls he lets up go into the stands.

It's April and bad data is the only data from this year we have, so let's run with it! Bad conclusions are better than no conclusions at all!
