The majority of our at-bats this game we've had a good approach, but those few ones in which we haven't (Manny in the first inning, Teagarden, Davis last inning) have just killed us today. It's just frustrating.

Saunders looks vulnerable today, if we can just all get on the same page, we can get him.

They are not expanding the strike zone, to them the strike zone is that big all the time.

That would explain their lousy on-base percentages.

Lack of plate discipline kills. There's no reason to expand the strike zone before two strikes, and even then, it doesn't have to be expanded to the ground or the shoulders, which our guys too far too often.

Lack of plate discipline? Davis and Hardy both worked the count full that inning, and Hardy's AB lasted eight pitches.

So people scream to the heavens when the O's swing at the first pitch, but when they have two nice ABs like Davis and Hardy did, fans still call them pathetic.
