That deal is an overpay. The guy did nothing last year. He had a fast start and then literally nothing. But it is the NL. If I were him I would've taken less money this year and signed in colorado or houston and tried to put up big numbers in better hitters parks.

Sounds like more of a platoon situation. I guess there is some speculation that Morse was hampered with a bad wrist most of last year and that he's recovered. Still, not my kind of player and certainly not for 6 mil.

In San Francisco, Morse would ideally become the right-handed half of a platoon with Gregor Blanco.

Never liked Morse, and he's now making the same $/yr as Nate McLouth. Seems like a lot, though he does have a chance to get some BABIP luck and have a big year.
