What three are you talking about?   The taxi squad guys?  Roberts isn’t a pitcher, he’s just there in case we have a catcher emergency.   Sedlock isn’t on the 40-man roster, so he’s probably just a back-up plan if something goes horribly wrong in game one and we need pitchers for game two, in which case Reyes gets DFA.

Why couldn't we just DFA Lakins and use Sedlock for Game 1 tomorrow? Put Sedlock on the 40-man, then option Sedlock after game 1 if we need to use Reyes.

Sedlock is the better SP and more prepared to go deeper in the game tomorrow than Reyes is.

Roberts might need to get in a bullpen session.  Just glad the O's got the win.  Would hate to have the bullpen run down and a loss.  2nd game, Sedlock and Akin?

Roberts is there because of the odd rule that if you have a 3 man taxi squad for a road game at all, it must include at least one catcher.

I would go Lyles in Game 1. Go all out and try and win game 1. 
 

Then see what you have available for Game 2. Maybe you steal a game with a bullpen game and make moves afterwards.

Akin hasn’t pitched since Tuesday. I’d go with him in Game 2. Send down Diplan and Sulser since they aren’t available today. Call up Vespi, Reyes, and one of Kremer/Vaillmont.

Roch reporting that Sedlock will be in the bullpen today and has a locker (with his last name misspelled as Sadlock).
