He’s going to pitch a ton of innings for the Os this year.  Stinks he can’t be part of the fanfare but no big deal IMO.

The smart and obvious move.

Now we wait and see what he does. He gets about 10-15 starts. If he shows no signs of improving his command, at that point you move him to the pen if you want.

Yes, and I stand by that.   But I agree he should go to AAA and build up his innings.    When he gets to 5 innings effectively pitched he could be called up to the O's..

I am also in favor on GRod going to AAA and working on his breaking pitches. I expect he will be with the O's before too long.

Hall needs to build up his innings.He has not thrown three innings in a gane yet. The Orioles want him to be a starter then he needs about three or four starts before he might he ready. End of April or earlier May if things go well

The issue is even if he is ready, someone has to leave the rotation.  That’s where it gets interesting, assuming health and good performance.

The next man up in the rotation. How often can the O’s say that with this caliber !

Makes sense. His velocity was down over two MPH but yet was using all of his pitches to get weak contact. Might as well stretch him out and see what happens as a starting depth. I still think he'll end up a reliever, but it limited spots and a late start, might as well make this move.

He’s been trying to build his innings up for about 6 years now
