Vavra has to work on leveling his swing.  He's got a hitch in it and he's swinging underneath the ball. His hands are up but the barrel is dipping.

Vavra doesn't have much value if he swings at pitches at eye level given his reputation of having a good batting eye and no power.

I will be glad when the Varva experiment/experience is over. I’m not saying that he’s not a major leaguer. But he should not be getting regular ABs on a playoff type team. He just doesn’t offer enough.

No it wasn’t. And I was someone who really wanted him to get playing time. He’s just not going to produce at the ML level. If they think Westburg can play the corners then he really should be up here taking Vavras place.
