I guess it's only fair that I now ask: Who is Jacob Webb? He struck out Soto, Judge, and Stanton to close out a 4-out save against the heart of the NYY lineup and preserve a two run victory. . -
I value defense very highly, and I was incredibly annoyed at all the talk about Mountcastle playing third or left field when he was best suited for first base, which is where he ended up. So I agree that defense is important, if Heston’s defense doesn’t please the bosses, why don’t they trade him? There’s absolutely no point to keeping a guy whom you consider to be inadequate when you could trade him for something worthwhile. -

We all like the guy. I got cranky and impatient and called these videos eye-rolly. Everyone yelled at me. Then I acknowledged I was being impatient and I'm just eager to see what the guy can accomplish. Lol. -

We are not playing for winning seasons now, we are playing for rings. If we achieve a dynasty it will likely be dependent upon retaining stars like Rutschman, Henderson, Holliday; not replacing them. -

I think Basallo if he continues to develop is safely in Tier 1, and no one that important is really crunched once Mullins/Hays attain FA, and The Ryans get too expensive in Arb. Adley, Mayo, Holliday, Gunnar, Westburg, Cowser, EBJ, Kjerstad and Basallo are the intended starting Bats. That's the Peak Adley unit of 2026-2027. Norby-Beavers are maybe the top tier marooned, but as with Ortiz that's a player level Elias has dealt from.
