Doesn't take courage to point it out when you say something silly.  It takes common sense.  If we were at the bar face to face I'd tell you the same thing.  Unless your 6'3 250 and real mean looking.  Then I'd keep my mouth shut.

Courage?  I'm not picking a fight or asking you to meet me in the street at high noon.  I'm simply suggesting that taking a second to fact check yourself would help a great deal as your good points are often lost among the misinformed takes or constantly repeated grudges (Lawler).  Just a friendly suggestion that doesn't really require any courage.    I'd say the same to your face if you were here, and hopefully you'd be mature enough to nod, thank me for my advice, and we go our separate ways.  No big deal.

You have to think that not all of these HS Sr want to go to college, and after not hearing their name called yesterday, they may have lowered their number last night.  Hopefully SS Gavin Guidry.  It's tough to pry him away from LSU, but we could have a Gunnar/Westburg 2.0 situation with Holliday and Guidry.

I would like to see them take the best pitcher that they can afford.  What they will actually do is pick the player highest on their board.  I respect that strategy in principle, but it seems that their board is so biased against pitchers that they never wind up taking one with a high pick.

HS pitcher Bradley Loftin seems like a good pick. MLB Pipeline says he has "an efficient delivery" and rank him #77.

As a Clemson alum, this discussion is very interesting for both my O's and Tigers. 

First re Wagner, he was an absolute stud this year.  Any time we needed a big hit, he seemed to deliver.   Caden Grice, who we thought was our best player going into the season, was brutal this year.  Max picked up where Grice left off last year and carried the offense.  I don't think he's coming back to Clemson and think he will sign at or under slot.  We had a coaching change a month ago and while there's a great deal of excitement for Bakich, numerous players have left/transferred.  When Wagner announced he was leaving, there didn't seem to be any uncertainty.  And there doesn't seem to be any from the coaches that he's not coming back.  So I doubt he gives up the money (even at or under slot) to come back to a new coaching staff.  I don't see how he could have a better year than this year.  

As to the HS pitchers, both Porter and Tristan Smith are Clemson commits so it's been interesting watching them slide a bit (Porter more so than Smith).  Obviously, the hope at Clemson is that they are now priced out of any remaining slot money and will enroll in August.   While it worked out for us for Will Taylor, we were burned on Bubba Chandler last year so many are prepared that Porter will  be drafted today, sign an overslot deal and never step foot in a classroom at Clemson.    I just hope that at this point, it's either Clemson or the O's.
